Operates full day, year round, utilizing all types of weather for outdoor learning opportunities. Nature preschool is eligible for enrollment for children ages 3 to 5 years old.
All meals and snacks are included in weekly tuition and additional fees may occur for special field trips and or activities.

Nature based early childhood education is when learning takes place in the context of nature. Children learn by doing and experimenting with ideas.
Physical and mental health: Nature preschool helps children develop fine and gross motor skills.
Social and emotional skills: Children learn to appreciate nature and build stronger social skills.
Spending time in nature can improve attention and behavior.

What a typical day in nature preschool looks like:
A typical day at a nature preschool often includes a mix of free playtime followed by structured group activities plus breaks for snack and meal times. Teachers might focus on a particular theme that informs the rest of the day’s activities, which can include storytime, science, yoga, arts and crafts or music. A Place to Grow Nature Preschool uses the learner-led method, in which teachers supervise and support children in their chosen types of play. This approach gives children the opportunity to formulate and answer their own questions. The teachers in our nature preschool will learn and discover right alongside your child, safely guiding them as they gain an understanding of their environment.
Screen Time is Taking Over Childhood!
A Place to Grow will stimulate children’s minds without the use of screens. We are a screen-free facility. Natural environments assist children in developing a learning mindset.
Time spent outdoors is the root of our program!
Children will learn about the world around them outside! Stepping into nature ignites a sense of curiosity and develops confident, capable children!
The kids will be outside many hours each day!
All children enrolled in A Place to Grow’s Nature Preschool will need to be fully toilet-trained. Children will be outside a vast majority of their academic day.
There is no bad weather, just improper clothing!
All children will wear rented weather-proof coveralls/jackets when they are learning in our outdoor classrooms.
